I had intended to photograph a different part fo the island the morning I took this image. However, a mist on higher ground had greyed out the sunrise I had been expecting. Changing plans, I headed north to the common above Bouley Bay. There is a lovely view point looking down over the bay near the car park. Just below the view point the browning ferns provided a great foreground for a moody image of the bay.
It was also the first image taken with my Nikkor 14 - 30 f4 S lens.

The same misty morning changed very quickly as the sun broke over the headland behind me, lighting up the cliffs.
